The house was aesthetically pleasing, however we had no hot water after the 1st night. Positive: The property was aesthetically pleasing to the eyesight. Negative: The rocky driveway you have to climb in your car. I think if there will be guest, either they know about this or maybe consider paving the road for future guest. Also, there was no hot water after the first night. I reached out to the owner and she said that she would reach out shortly but she never retuned with a text or call, so we ended up cutting our getaway short.

Beautiful but lots of issues, I'm sure some guests find it perfect Positive: So the good things - the pictures of the property were spot on. I picked it because it was in a wooded setting, and the cabin looked very recently updated, which it was. If you want to sleep in the middle of the forest with (almost) no neighbors, this may be the place for you. Negative: Now the bad things. You MUST have an SUV to even reach the cabin, and that information isn't given until you have paid for your (nonrefundable, in my case) stay. I would not rent it again without a 4WD SUV, my brand new Outlander SUV did OK but it was a difficult ride, partly because it had rained recently. While the views are beautiful, there are no shades/curtains on the windows, so you're getting up with the sun like it or not. There's a nice wooden walkway from the gravel driveway to the cabin, but it's very slippery when wet. It is in the middle of the woods, and I know they are trying on this, but there were a fair amount of bugs in the cabin. The kitchen was beautiful too, but of the 3 baking sheets, 2 literally did not fit in the oven, and I needed those :-( There was also no closet - I really think rooms should have some reasonable place to hang up clothes if you are staying more than 1 night. The communications from the host were not great - "Put the trash in the outdoor receptacles" but there weren't any, things like that. Nothing horrible but not my expectations.

Perfect place to relax and be in nature Positive: Absolutely beautiful property. I wanted a place to disconnect and be in nature and this was the perfect spot. The cabin is in the middle of the woods and near a beautiful stream that runs right by it. We had a fantastic time!! Had a small issue with the water heater but the staff was very prompt about answering questions and helping us resolve the issue. Highly recommend! Negative: N/A

Home needs window coverings in private areas atleast Positive: The home is beautiful with large windows and natural light nestled next to a stream. Negative: There were no window coverings in ANY room if you wanted to ensure privacy or unwanted light in the morning. The windows in the living room were placed so that the main house could look directly in the home. If you walked up to knock on front door, you can see in the bedroom window. There were also cameras just outside with no coverings that made us uncomfortable that they could see in the bedroom glass door. The motion sensor light would go on and off all night just outside the glass door making it difficult to rest. There was glass around the fire pit and a pile of trash. I would also recommend trimming the brush up the drive so it doesn’t scratch vehicles as much. There were also several ammenities that the listing showed that were not available (heated pool, bath tub).

Lovely location BUT PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU STAY Positive: I loved the remote location and the openness of the cabin. There was a nice back porch and front porch area and the creek outside was lovely. The town of hot springs was cute and we enjoyed looking at the nature around the town. Negative: No communication from the property when I called upwards of 6-7 times the week I stayed there. I sent an email as well, nothing. It was only recommended/suggested to have a 4WD car, but you NEED one to get up there. I'm in college and mostly physically capable of getting up there but bringing bags of items up an almost half mile, very steep mountain left my girlfriend and I with knots in our shoulders/necks the entire time we were there. If you are older or physically unable to walk 20 minutes on a steep incline with all your belongings... get a four-wheel drive vehicle. Also! We had no hot water basically the entire time! I think it was an error with the tankless water heater, but we had to heat up water on the stove because the water out of the spicket was so cold it hurt. That combined with the fact that no one was answering my calls, it was frustrating to say the least. The house was comfortable but the bed was very stiff and the locks on the doors had a hard time working. The cabin is in a place that you wouldn't really need to worry about people breaking in but the lock wouldn't close shut once we unlocked the door when we first got to the house (in case that's a concern for anyone.)
